A loan helped Buy materials to continue making bricks.

Maria's story

Maria, age 26, lives with her husband and their two children in her own house. When she was a girl she watched how the members of her family made bricks. For over five years she has been doing this in an independent manner. In order to do her work she has an oven. That is where she cooks the bricks to finish the process of making them. She works everyday together with her husband. They produce by the thousands. They also hire helpers to work so that production is constant. Her years of experience in the field have allowed her to learn to make good quality bricks. That is the reason for the good sales that she gets. The substantial earnings she receives help her to improve her quality of life. In the future she has plans to acquire a bigger piece of land so that her factory will be stable. This is her ninth loan with MFP. She promises to be very responsible with her payments. She is also grateful to all of the people who made the loan possible. It will be very useful to the progress of her business. Maria plans to use the money to buy a greater quantity of materials (like sand and sawdust, among others) that she needs to make bricks.
