Lute's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to buy more materials for her crafts and also a new tent for her flea market.

Lute's story

Meet Lute. She is 38 years old and married with six children. Her husband is a soldier and they live in their own home. Lute currently runs a business of crafts and flea market. Her flea market mainly runs on Saturday, where she sells shoes and clothes in different sizes. She also displays her crafts there.

While her flea market mainly runs on Saturdays, she spends the rest of her time doing her craft business. She makes salusalu, a type of kiekie that is worn in special celebrations such as happy celebrations. It is made from Chinese ribbons. A clear example of salusalu is the one that is tied around her waist in her photo with the color orange and white. It can be made with different colored ribbons.

She also uses pandanus for this business of hers, but she has to color the pandanus first for the color required. Her business is running very well and her children help with the flea market every Saturday.

Lute is applying for a loan to buy more materials for her crafts and also a new tent to expand her flea market because it is increasing and she even makes her crafts and sells them out of her flea market tent.
