Koku's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to invest in clothes and shoes for summer.

Koku's story

Koku is a refugee from Togo in Africa. He's lived in Brazil for more than seven years. He lived alone for a while until he met his current wife. Now they live in a simple house in one of the communities of São Paulo.

Koku left Africa due to very complicated political conditions. Afraid of this situation, he decided to leave his country in order to survive.

Today, he sells sneakers and clothes on the streets of downtown São Paulo. He has many customers and his biggest dream is to set up a store to serve his customers with more convenience and safety security.

The loan will be very important, as Koku will invest in summer clothes and shoes to meet the needs of his customers and increase his income.

He is very happy with the support of the "Banco do Povo" (People's Bank) and is grateful to the Kiva investors.
