Luz Maria's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to buy chicks and corn to feed them.

Luz Maria's story

Luz lives in a borrowed room in the house of her mother, an elderly adult who is no longer able to work. Luz lives with her two children and three granddaughters, including a 12-year-old girl who is her responsibility. Luz is a good, strong, honest, entrepreneurial woman. She used to sell vegetables in different communities, long 6-8-hour trips away. Due to the lack of transportation because of the pandemic, she needed to seek other sources of income. That is how she began raising chickens. Her first sale went well, so Luz wants to buy more chicks to raise and sell, improving her earnings for feeding her family. (The two little girls are her darling granddaughters.)
