Mutiifu Group's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to stock up on beans, palm oil, charcoal, and potatoes for her restaurant business.

Mutiifu Group's story

Ms. Rosa is a client of the microfinance institution Hekima and presides over the village group named “MUTIIFU”. She is divorced, 42 years old, and the mother of two children, both in school.

A food seller in a restaurant, she began this enterprise in 2009 with startup funds from the Hekima program for supporting her enterprise. Since then, she has been progressing in it.

With this new loan, she is going to stock up with 30 kg of beans, 4 containers of palm oil, a sack of charcoal, and 4 sacks of potatoes to bolster her initial capital. The challenge in her business has to do with the unstable dollar exchange rate.

Her wish is to purchase a parcel of land for her family. So, she would like to thank Hekima and its partners for supporting business owners lacking cash during this global crisis tied to Covid-19. The photo shows only the group leader because of Covid-19.
