A loan helped to buy provisions.

Fatima Maria's story

Fátima, 48, is separated. She has two adult children and one minor child, age 13. They live in Jaramijo Canton, a pretty place where the residents are very humble and hardworking people who work in the seafood trade.

Fátima's an enterprising woman who works hard every day to cover the household expenses. This is why, despite being separated, she was always able to fend for herself to get her children ahead.

Before the pandemic, Fátima was working selling clothing, but her business was very affected and she had to leave it. A month ago she decided to start a new business that would generate income for her, so on the weekends she makes and sells delicious "tongas" [traditional dish of Manabí] and ceviches.

This is why she's requesting a new loan, with the goal of making progress with her food business. She's going to invest the loan in a purchase of provisions for making her dishes.

Her dream is to be able to give her children the best and that they have what they need.
