A loan helped to buy underwear for children and adults.

Letty Monserrate's story

Letty, 63, is married and has six adult children. Her husband's a private employee. They live in Jaramijo Canton, a pretty place where the residents are very humble and hardworking and they work in the shellfish business.

Letty's an enterprising woman who works hard every day to help her husband with the household expenses. This is why for five years she has had a business selling a variety of underwear.

She used to make her sales as a street vendor but currently she's selling via social media with the help of a daughter because her business declined during the Covid-19 pandemic for reasons of biosafety, and her income decreased drastically.

So now she's requesting a new loan to reactivate her business again. She's going to invest this loan in a purchase of underwear for children and adults.

Her dream is that her business will again make progress and she'll improve her finances.
