Lilia Argentina's story

Lilia Argentina maintains a free union relationship and has three children. Her partner is an cabinet-maker and a merchant. They live in Portoviejo, which was affected by the earthquake the 16th of April, 2016 and now the Covid-19 pandemic. The city is rich in its production of root vegetables, green vegetables and tropical fruits for domestic consumption.

Lilia Argentina and her partner work to purchase large pigs that are ready to be butchered. They do this weekly. They sell by the pound and their customers always purchase. During this worldwide crisis Lilia has gone through economic difficulties. Her customers can't pay because they have been left without a job and some have passed away. The sanitary crisis was very bad at the beginning because they could not sell, but now, little by little they are reactivating to be able to continue generating their income. With this new loan they will purchase large pigs. Lilia's dream is to have her own shop with a fridge.
