Ketty Maribel's story

Ketty Maribel is married. She has three children, all of them adults and in college. Her husband is a security guard for a residential development. They live in a house that her father has lent them. They live in Portoviejo, which was much affected by the earthquake of April 16, 2016, and now by the Covid-19 pandemic. The city is rich in the production of vegetables, legumes and tropical fruit for domestic consumption.

Ketty Maribel sells Avon and Yanbal (beauty items, cosmetics, perfume, and women's accessories) cleaning products (for clothing, floors, bathrooms and kitchens). She sells door to door, leaving the merchandise on credit, collecting weekly. She also prepares previously ordered lunches for home delivery. She works everyday. During this world crisis, she has suffered financial difficulty. Her customers can't pay her anymore because they have lost their jobs, and others have passed away. At first, the health crisis was very bad for her because she couldn't sell, but now, little by little, she is reactivating to continue generating her income. With this new loan, she will buy grocery items, perfume, makeup, cleaning products, etc. Her dream is to be very healthy, to own her own home and for her business to keep growing.
