A loan helped to buy firewood, sawdust, water, and palm fibers for making bricks.

Jessica Maria's story

Jessica Maria is 30 years old, in a common-law relationship, and has two children (ages 11 and 6). Her husband is a laborer. They live in Cárcel, a place full of honest people who are dedicated to their work in agriculture and handicrafts. This area was also severely impacted by the effects of COVID-19.

Jessica Maria is a hardworking woman who looks for ways to earn a living and help with the household expenses. However, the health emergency has had a detrimental effect on the population. She and her family have a small factory for making bricks that are used in construction. Two people are in charge of making the bricks and Jessica Maria is responsible for selling them to merchants. At the moment, they are only producing bricks to order since there have not been many sales.

This loan will be used to buy firewood, sawdust, water, and palm fibers since these are the materials used for making the bricks.
