Hilarys Maifred's story

Hilarys is a 21-year-old microentrepreneur residing in Soledad. Ever since she was a little girl she was known for helping several relatives with their businesses. She always enjoyed working in retail and used the income she made to start buying the fixed assets and display cases she needed to start her own business. This allowed her to set up her store. She started out selling toys, tools, and assorted items and as her business grew she invested in more merchandise. She has had so much success in her neighborhood that she wants to keep expanding and increasing her income so that she can buy a home one day.

Due to the COVID-19 global pandemic her income has suffered substantially. That is why she is currently requesting her first Kiva loan through Fundación Mario Santo Domingo. She will invest it in the purchase of merchandise like original watches, replicas, sandals, razors, blouses, clothing, and other in-demand items. She is confident that she will be successful. Thank you for supporting her!
