Nuru Group's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to stock up on secondhand clothing, to strengthen her initial capital.

Nuru Group's story

Pelagie is a Hekima client and chairs the "Nuru" village group. She is married, 53 years old, and mother of five children, all of whom are educated. Her partner is unemployed.

Pelagie sells secondhand clothing. She started this business in her youth at the age of 22 with start-up funds received from her father. Later, she got involved with the Hekima program to support her business, over the course of which she has evolved progressively. With this new loan, she will stock up on secondhand clothing, which will strengthen her initial capital. The challenge of her business is linked to bankruptcy.

Pelagie would like to renovate her house. Finally, she wants to thank Hekima and its partners for their support of non-bankable business owners in the context of the global crisis linked to COVID-19. The photo only includes the group leader due to COVID-19.
