Lorena Marizol's story

Lorena Marizol is 43 years old. She is separated and has three children, two of which are of legal age and are independent, and her younger one is 17 and goes to school. They live in their own house in Mejía, which is several kilometers from Portoviejo, a city where most people are involved in agriculture and growing and selling coconuts.

Lorena Marizol raises pigs at home. She buys them when they are little and raises them for five months. When they reach a good weight and size that she is satisfied with, she sells them. She offers a good product, and she has enough space the grow them and conduct herself a daily check. She sells them slaughtered by the pound to vendors, neighbors, relatives, etc.

At the beginning, the health crisis really negatively affected her because she could neither sell no slaughter pigs, but now she's restarting the business little by little so that she can continue generating income. With this loan she will buy to buy animal feed, vaccines, waterers, dewormers, etc. Her dream is to have a big pig farm and for her family to be very healthy.
