A loan helped to buy palm nut to make buttons.

Alexandra Juliana's story

Alexandra Juliana and her family live in Los Bajos de Montecristi, a place of humble people engaged in working in the fields and making handicrafts. The town, like the rest of the province, has been greatly affected in its economy and with many lives lost.

She is a hardworking woman who looks to earn a living and thus give her son the best. Furthermore, since she is a mother and father at the same time, she moves ahead despite the fact that for her everything is more difficult with this pandemic. She is engaged in making buttons made of tagua, a type of palm nut. This is very complicated for her since she delivers her products to exporters. But for a long time this could not be done. She spent what little she had on food and it is not enough to pay her debts. Her sales are gradually returning to normal and she hopes they continue to do so.

This loan will be used to buy tagua to make the buttons.
