Pastora Lola's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to buy firewood, sawdust, water, and palm tree wood, which are the supplies needed to fire bricks.

Pastora Lola's story

Pastora Lola lives with her family in Los Bajos de Montecristi, a place of humble people who work the land and make crafts. As the rest of the province, they have been severely affected by the pandemic, both in terms of lives lost and economic opportunities vanished.
Pastora Lola works with her husband in order to put bread on the table. The pandemic complicated their situation even more. They have a brick kiln where they fire the bricks themselves, which they sell to traders who themselves sell them to construction sites. Because of the pandemic, the whole construction sector has all but ground to a halt, and Pastora Lola's and her husband's business suffered as a result. What bricks they manage to sell are only enough to buy food, but do not come close to enabling them to repay their loans.
Pastora Lola will use the loan to buy firewood, sawdust, water, and palm tree wood, which are the supplies needed to fire bricks.
