Marylin Gelissa's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to buy foam board, bandannas, cloth, and lace, in order to make crafts.

Marylin Gelissa's story

Marylin Gelissa lives with her family in Los Bajos de Montecristi, a place of humble people who work the land and make crafts. As the rest of the province, they have been severely affected by the pandemic, both in terms of lives lost and economic opportunities vanished.
Marylin Gelissa does what she can to put food on the table for her children, which she raises on their own. Now things are even worse because of the pandemic, but she keeps on fighting for a better life. She is a craftswoman, who makes candy jars, lampshades, piñatas, and many more things. She also sells Avon products (perfume, moisturiser, jewellery, make-up) at her stall. Due to the pandemic, customers are scarce, but she keeps on with her business, which enables her to make enough money to buy food, but she is far from making enough profit to repay her loans.
She will use the loan to buy foam board, bandannas, cloth, and lace, in order to make crafts.
