Cecilia Azucena's story

Cecilia Azucena is in a common-law marriage. She has four children, of which three are adults and independent, and the youngest is 12 years old and in school. Her partner sells lottery tickets. They live in their own home. They live in Santa Ana, a beautiful valley and an area where the strength is agriculture. There are corn and rice crops, livestock, and in gastronomy they have a variety of traditional dishes with peanut as the base, like "tongas" [rice and chicken dish with a peanut sauce] and "viches" [fish and peanut soup]. There are also freshwater spas.

Cecilia Azucena, together with her parnter, has a grocery store in her house. They work every day and sell a variety of products to consume like rice, oil, dairy items, preserved food, sausages, etc. She also takes advantage of the situation and sells Yanbal catalogue products. She has these in a display case so that her customers can see them and buy them at good prices. Meanwhile, her husband sells lottery tickets.

The health crisis, at the beginning, was bad for her and she couldn't do her sales. But now, little by little, it is reactivating so that she can continue generating income. In her family, seven people got sick with COVID-19, and they are now getting better little by little.

With this new loan she will by dairy groceries, sausages, etc. Her dream is to have good health and for her business to continue growing.
