Maria Lisbeth's story

Maria Lisbeth is in a civil union. She has one minor child who attends school. Her partner is a mason. They live in a rented home in Portoviejo, which was damaged by the earthquake of April 16th, 2016, and now suffers with the Covid-19 pandemic. The city is rich in the production of vegetables, beans, and tropical fruits for domestic consumption.

Maria Lisbeth works selling clothing for ladies, gentlemen and children. She sells door to door in various parts of the city, visiting family members, friends, and neighbors. She sells on credit and makes collections weekly. During this global crisis she has had financial difficulties because her customers couldn't pay, some due to unemployment, and some died. Things went badly at the beginning of the health crisis because she could no longer make sales, but now she is slowly reactivating her business so that she can keep generating income.

With this new loan she will buy orders of clothing of various sizes and colors for her customers. Her dream is to have her own home. She also dreams that her family continues to be healthy.
