Fanny Oralia's story

Fanny Oralia is 66 years old, married, and has six adult children, one of whom has down syndrome and needs special care. Her husband is retired. They live in their own home. They live in Portoviejo, which was affected by the earthquake of April 16, 2016 and now by the Covid-19 pandemic. The city is rich in the production of vegetables, legumes and tropical fruits for national consumption.

To help with household expenses, Fanny Oralia sells Nature's Garden products (natural products, health and beauty) and varied clothing for women. She sells by visiting house to house and also her clients come to her house to buy. She leaves items on credit and collects weekly. During this global crisis, she has experienced economic difficulties, her clients cannot pay her because they have been left without a job and others have died. The health crisis at first was very bad since she could not sell, but now, little by little, she is reactivating her business so as to be able to continue generating income. With this new loan she will buy natural medicines. Her dream is to have a place that sells jewelry and clothing, and that her family be healthy.
