Tabitha's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to buy farming inputs which she will use to improve her production and earn more income to support her family.

Tabitha's story

Meet Tabitha, a repeat borrower. She is a 40-year-old mother of one child living in Kitale, a town whose surroundings have vast agricultural potential with numerous small farms and also large agricultural enterprises. Tabitha is a mixed dairy and crop farmer who has been farming for the past twenty years.

The major impediment to the development of smallholder farms in Kenya is the lack of short-term credit facilities. Juhudi Kilimo, in partnership with Kiva, is working hard to support smallholder farmers in Kenya through financing, thereby guaranteeing their survival.

Tabitha is seeking this loan to buy farming inputs, which she will use to improve her production and earn more income to support her family. Support her at this time when the world is focused on combatting the COVID-19 pandemic.
