Yainkain's story

Greetings from Sierra Leone! This is 28-year-old Yainkain from Waterloo branch. She is married and has a family relative who depends on her. She started this business so she could be independent from her husband.

Yainkain runs a food business selling pap and bread and other assorted item. She has been in this business for a year now. Her other source of income come from her husband. Her main challenge is slow sales sometimes during this COVID 19.

She requested this loan through BRAC Sierra Leone to purchase rice, bread, sugar, milk, plastics and other assorted item to increase her business. Yainkain says that the extra income from this loan will help to improve her business and her family's welfare. In the future, she would like to establish her business on a larger scale. She says thanks to BRAC and Kiva for their support.
