A loan helped to buy farming inputs that she will use to improve her production and make more income to support her family.

Rosalina's story

Meet Rosalina (a repeat borrower). She is a 57-year-old mother of two children living in Eldoret, a town that was significantly stuck by the 2007–2008 Kenyan crisis when violence occurred in Kenya. Rosalina has been farming for the past 30 years.

The COVID-19 pandemic has posed a significant threat to the economy of Kenya, causing a lot of uncertainties and disrupting food supply chains. Juhudi Kilimo, in partnership with Kiva, is in the forefront line in combating this pandemic through supporting smallholder farmers and micro-entrepreneurs at this difficult period.

Rosalina is seeking this loan to buy farming inputs, which she will use to improve her production and make more income to support her family. Support her at this time when the world is focused on combating the COVID-19 pandemic.
