Mujeres Con Esperanza Group's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped buy a variety of ice cream flavors to sell.

Mujeres Con Esperanza Group's story

The group, Mujeres con Esperanza, is in its 5th cycle of the women's committee program, where everyone works and helps each other to get ahead. They are doing a poverty elimination survey.

One of them is Laura, who sells ice cream. She mentions that although her work is modest, with it she has been able to help sustain her home and family. She comments that she started modestly, but that she has been improving little by little to be able to offer her family everything she could not have. She defines herself as a self-sacrificing person who, in spite of the daily difficulties, does not let herself be defeated and looks for ways to continue improving, since she is the breadwinner in her family.

She is asking for this loan in order to be able to buy more variety of ice cream, so that she can continue with her work and offer more variety to her clients.

Note: In the photo only one person appears, but this loan is for a group. The group photo was not possible to avoid the crowding of people because of the Covid-19 pandemic.
