A loan helped to renovate their house due to damage caused by the cyclone.

Meleane's story

Meleane is a 27 year old mother of four children. Her husband travels overseas and is stuck there due to COVID-19 restrictions. She moved with her kids to her parent's house where is safer.

Currently Meleane is running a weaving business, where she specifically weaves taovala with white pandanus, then sells it to earn money. Her business runs very well and she is committed to her business. In April, T.C Harold hits Tonga islands, causing much damage to many houses. Meleane's house was badly damaged. All the roof was blown off and they fled to her parent's house. She is applying for a revitalization loan to help with renovating their house and rebuilding it, so she can move back with her kids there. She wants her children to grow up in a good life and a safer environment.
