Mujeres De Azcurra Group's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to buy a variety of garments to sell.

Mujeres De Azcurra Group's story

The group called Mujeres de Azcurra was formed by neighbors in the Caacupé area who are looking for ways to be able to improve their quality of life and that of their families. They're in their first loan cycle in the women's bank program.

One of them is María, who works selling clothing at her home. She said her job enabled her to be able to give her loved ones a better quality of life.

She said her business was affected by the Covid-19 pandemic because she wasn't able to work normally, which in turn had consequences on her income. She's grateful for the opportunity to join the group and be able to start working again and improve herself.

She's requesting this loan to be able to buy a variety of garments to sell. That way she'll be able to continue as she has been: doing her job.

Note: Only one person appears in the photo, but this is a group loan. A group photo wasn't possible because of social distancing during the Covid-19 pandemic.
