Kuña Mbarete Group's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to buy fabrics in quantity, thread, and other supplies.

Kuña Mbarete Group's story

The group “Kuña Mbarete” was formed by a group of friends and neighbors from the city of Luque who are seeking to improve their quality of life and that of their loved ones. They are also participating in their third loan cycle with the Women’s Committee Program.

One of the members is Gricelda, who is a seamstress. She says that she begins her work every day very early in the morning. Through her work, she is able to provide a better quality of life for her loved ones. She joined this group so that she could get training to help her continue providing something better for her family. Gricelda says that her business was affected by the COVID-19 pandemic since she was not able to work normally, which also impacted her income.

She is requesting a loan to buy fabrics in quantity, thread, and other supplies so that she can continue her work as before.

Note: The photo shows only one person, even though this is a group loan. It was not possible to take a group photo in order to avoid congregating during the COVID-19 pandemic.
