Elzbieta's story

I was born and raised in Bielsko-Biala, Poland. Food in my family was more than just a simple meal, but a way to express oneself and connect with others. Even during martial law, when food became scarce in Poland, my family always tried to do the best with what we had to liven our spirits. In 1992 we moved to US and shortly after that I become US citizen. In the US, I worked for Parkview Villa Banquets in Chicago starting in the workplace as a kitchen helper and transitioning to a Service Manager. It has always been a dream of mine to own a small, family-oriented restaurant with a friendly atmosphere and excellent food. I want customers to become friends and not only can taste well-made food but also relax, listen to music, watch TV, chat, and enjoy the company of others. I am a very hard-working person who isn’t afraid to solve problems and work my way out of things, but sometimes in life we need the help of others to overcome barricades and life obstacles.
