Esther's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!
A loan helped to buy more bags of groundnuts.
Esther is a 23-year-old entrepreneur who lives with her parents in the Nkhotakota district in Malawi. Esther grows and buys groundnuts, which she sells in her community. Esther is requesting a Kiva loan to buy more bags of groundnuts to catch up with the demand for nuts and invest in pig production. She plans to use the profits she earns to invest in pig production and pay for a course on business administration. Esther will repay the ‘social interest’ on her loan by volunteering 2.5 hours per week as a CAMFED transition guide, supporting other young women who are just entering CAMFED’s alumnae organization, CAMFED Association, by delivering an orientation course with weekly sessions on topics including health, financial literacy, and career guidance.
