Caroline's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to buy more maize to supplement her harvest and reach out to more customers.

Caroline's story

Caroline is a 24-year-old entrepreneur who lives with her husband in the Dedza district in Malawi. She is a CAMFED Association member and a Core Trainer, someone who trains and supervises other CAMFED Association members in their work.

She has a farming business where she grows maize and groundnuts and sells them in large quantities after harvesting.

Caroline is requesting a Kiva loan to buy more maize to supplement her harvest and reach out to more customers. She plans to use the profits she earns to buy a motor bike for a taxi business.

She will repay the ‘social interest’ on her loan by volunteering 2.5 hours per week as a CAMFED Alumnae Executive, focusing on the formation and strengthening of the CAMFED alumnae association, CAMFED Association, in various locations and institutions, and leading CAMFED Association activities that give back to the community.
