Leticia's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!
A loan helped to buy more bags of rice and maize.
Leticia is a 24-year-old entrepreneur who lives with her husband in the Phalombe district in Malawi. She is expecting her first child. She is a cluster leader for CAMFED association. Leticia buys and sells rice and maize. With her first Kiva loan, she added bags of maize to her business. She used the profit she earned to support her family's well being and assisted the needy in her community. Leticia is requesting a second loan in order to buy more bags of rice and maize. She plans to use the profit she earns to assist needy students with basic school materials and support her family. Leticia will repay the ‘social interest’ on her second loan by volunteering 2 hours per week as a member of the CAMFED alumnae association, supporting the CAMFED Association community by organizing and leading CAMFED Association philanthropy activities.
