Lilibeth Esther's story

Lilibeth Esther, age 27, is a micro-entrepreneur who lives in the municipality of Soledad. Her primary occupation is the sale of food, such as lunches and all types of seafood, in a commercial site in busy sector of the municipality. She has two years' experience in this business.

Lilibeth Esther learned to be a very hard-working person from her parents, who worked humbly on the land in a rural area. More than 23 years ago, she and her parents moved to municipality of Atlántico. She began her business due to the need to generate income that would help her to cover some expenses.

In her business, she offers fried fish, "burel" soup, coconut and rice, and fried plantains. Her clients are neighbors, friends, relatives, people who are referred to her, and the general public. Due to the worldwide Covid-19 pandemic, her business declined due to bio-security reasons, and her income decreased drastically.

Now she is applying for her first Kiva loan with the Fundación Mario Santo Domingo in order to invest in the purchase of beef, fish, rice, coconut, oil, and plantains. Support her in the loan for her business.
