Susana's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!
A loan helped Coffee for resale.
Susana is 50 years old. She is married to 66 year old Felipe and they have nine adult children who live near the “Dos de Mayo” neighborhood. For the past 25 years she has been raising coffee, bananas, and avocados on their own land. Her husband helps her with the harvest and figures out how much they will earn from the sale. The most difficult part is transporting the harvest to the point of sale. For her, farming is profitable, and she has been able to provide an education and provide an adequate quality of life for her children. It also allowed her to be able to buy the space in which they currently live and they are very happy. Eventually she would like to buy fields where she can raise coffee and increase her production and help to ensure that she can live comfortably in her old age, alongside her children. This will be her second loan through MFP and she is happy to be able to be a part of such a well formed group, where all of its members lend a hand during any difficulty. She will use the money from this loan to buy coffee from her neighbors, which she will dry and resell.
