Bolodignogoma Group's story

Because of COVID-19, Nieba represents the group in the photo. Nieba is 49 years old, uneducated, and raises sheep in a rural commune in Mali. She is married and has four children in her care between the ages of 8 and 16, 2 of whom go to school.

Due to a lack of startup funds, Nieba turns to microfinance institutions like RMCR to take care of the education, health, and hygiene of her children. With this financial aid, Nieba stocks up at daily livestock markets in the surrounding villages and raises them at her home, in order to have some profit after the sales. She is also the manager of a water tap which brings her 20,000 francs of income monthly.

Nieba wishes to become a large rancher in her commune in the days to come and to be independent in taking care of her children.
