Mujeres Emprendedoras Group's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to buy rice, flour, meat, oil, vegetables, etc.

Mujeres Emprendedoras Group's story

The group called Mujeres Emprendedoras [Enterprising Women] was formed when friends and neighbors of the city of Luque joined together, seeking to find ways to improve their quality of life and that of their loved ones. They are in the first loan cycle of the women's committee program, and they are also in the poverty elimination program.

One of them is Ramona, who makes a living in food sales. She mentions that, with her work, she has been able to help her family and give them a better quality of life than she had. She defines herself as a self-sacrificing person who, despite daily challenges, seeks ways to excel and improve herself for her family because she doesn't want them to suffer any type of hardships.

She is requesting this loan to invest in the purchase of ingredients to make her foods, such as rice, flour, meat, oil, vegetables, etc.

Note: Only one person appears in the photo, but this is a group loan. It was not possible to take a group photo because of restrictions on gatherings of people due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
