Mungu Iko Group's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to purchase rolls of fabric for uniforms.

Mungu Iko Group's story

Madame Chantal is a client of microfinance institution Hekima and leads the Mungo Iko Group. She is 48 years old, married, and has 6 children who are all in school. Her partner is unemployed.

Chantal is a tailor. She started her business in 1995 with startup funds from her husband. Later, she partnered with Hekima to support her business, which has progressed steadily since. With this new loan, she will purchase rolls of fabric for uniforms, increasing her working capital. Her business's main challenge is related to protests.

She would like for her children to continue their studies. Lastly, she would like to thank Hekima and its partners for the support they provide to owners of non-bankable businesses in the context of the global Covid-19 crisis. Due to the pandemic, only the group's leader is shown in the photo.
