Janice's story

Janice is married and has two dependents. She and her family live a simple dwelling in Ajuy, Iloilo. To earn an income, she runs a variety store. She has been in this business for many years. She also runs a hog-raising business, and her husband works as a security guard.

Janice requested a 13,000 PHP through CEVI, a Kiva field partner and microfinance NGO in the Philippines, which she will use to buy assorted groceries, like canned goods, noodles, eggs, powdered drinks, toiletries, spices, snack foods, and sodas to sell in her store. The rest of the loan will be used to buy piglets and feed.

Janice aspires to augment her livelihood in the future so that she can provide for her children’s education.
