Mujembere Group's story

Madame Veronique is a client of the Hekima microfinance institution and oversees the Mujembere groupe villageoise. She is married, 45 years old, and the mother of 8 children that are all in school. Her spouse is out of work.

She sells medicine and started her business 15 years ago with starting funds received from her husband. Later on, she joined the Hekima program to support her business, which she was steadily growing. A new loan will allow her to buy 5 specialty medications and reinforce her starting capital. The challenge of her business is unpaid debts.

She would like to develop her business further. Lastly, she wishes to thank Hekima and its partners for the support they provide to small business owners whose business don't have monetary value, especially in the context of the global crisis due to COVID-19.
