A loan helped to purchase secondhand shoes.

Sinai Group's story

Madame Josephine is a client of microfinance institution Hekima and leader of the Sinai Group. She is 51 years old, married, and has 9 children. Of her children, 6 are managers and 3 are in school. Her husband is currently without work.

Josephine sells used shoes. She started her business 12 years ago with startup funds from her husband. Later, she partnered with Hekima to support her business, and it has progressed steadily ever since. Her business's main challenge is related to the poor quality of secondhand shoes.

With this new loan, she will buy more secondhand footwear. She would love for her children to continue their studies. Lastly, Josephine would like to thank Hekima and its partners for the support they provide to owners of non-bankable businesses in the context of the global Covid-19 crisis. Due to the pandemic, only the group's leader is shown in the photo.
