Ushuhuda Group's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to purchase 25 traditional cloth wraps to strengthen her initial capital.

Ushuhuda Group's story

Madame Riziki is a client of the MFI Hekima and is the leader of the groupe villageoise Ushuhuda. She is 40 years old, married, and the mother of seven children, all of whom are in school. Her partner is a teacher.

She sells traditional cloth wraps. She started this business in 2007 with startup funding she received from her husband. Later, she joined the Hekima program to support her business, and she grew gradually.

With this new loan, she will purchase 25 traditional cloth wraps to strengthen her initial capital. The challenge for her business is related to unpaid debts.

She would like her children to continue going to school, and would also like to purchase land. Lastly, she would like to thank Hekima and their partners for their support of non-bankable businesses in this global covid-19 crisis.

The photo is of the group leader only due to covid-19.
