A loan helped to buy chickens and feed so that her poultry will develop well.

Juana Siria's story

Juana Siria is 69 years old and her husband died years ago. She has 6 children, all of whom are adults. They live in the town of Pajan, Ecuador, a place with people dedicated to agriculture and selling products. The area has also been greatly affected by the health crisis caused by COVID-19.

Juana Siria is a woman who, despite her advanced age, looks to be able to support herself and get ahead, even more now that things have become difficult in the pandemic. She has a farm where she raises chickens. She sells them once they reach an adequate weight and she sells to business people who come to her home as well as to neighbors from the area. For her, the health emergency is affecting the business a lot and she is afraid of getting sick, but regardless she continues her work because this is how she earns an income and survives. This loan will be used to buy chickens and feed so that her poultry will develop well.
