Muong Phang 35 Group's story

Getting married very young, Mrs. Thang, 40, has an eldest daughter to get married and her son and youngest daughter are in 8th grade. She lives with her husband and two children in a poor village in Dien Bien province, a province in the northwest of Vietnam surrounded by mountains.

From a young age, Mrs. Thang could not go to school due to her difficult circumstances. Getting married early, giving birth to many children, her family's economy based only on farming made her family life more difficult so her family is a poor household.

Due to the difficult situation, Mrs. Thang wants to borrow capital to invest in fish farming because according to her; fish are easier for raising and use less investment than others. She hopes that her investment will be successful and bring a good income so she could continue to expand her business and help her family escape poverty.
