A loan helped to buy more manure, fertilizer, and some new farming equipment in order to increase her farming productivity.

Amelia's story

Amelia is a 31-year-old enterprising mother of five who works in agriculture in her village. Every day, Amelia does her activity by growing vegetables, such as pumpkins, red beans, and many others, and looking after her farm. After the vegetables are grown, she harvests them in order to sell them at the local market. She has been making a living from her vegetable farm for many years now with her own working capital. Every day, she is busy with farming because she is earning a good income from it.

She borrowed and repaid all of her previous $1,000 loan on time, and now she is requesting a $1,500 loan through KIF to help with her agricultural activity. Amelia will use this loan to buy more manure, fertilizer, and some new farming equipment in order to increase her farming productivity.
