A loan helped to buy a cow.

Thanh Yen 30 Group's story

Mrs. Om is a 56-year-old Thai ethnic woman who has two children and lives with her adult son in a small and old house of the northwest mountains of Vietnam, where agriculture is the main income activity. Her son used to work as a construction worker, but now he has been seriously ill and temporarily cannot work anymore.

In order to have enough money to cover life expenses and support for her son go to the hospital, Mrs. Om works very hard at some small-scale activities such as growing rice and raising a cow. Recently, she decided to take her ninth loan from Anh Chi Em program to expand her breeding model after successfully repaying the eight previous loans. This time, the loan will be used to buy a cow.

Mrs. Om hopes that with the support from the program together with her three years of experience in cow raising, the cow will grow up fast, healthy and deliver for her many calves. Mrs. Om plans to use the profit from this investment to renew her house and pay for her son to go the hospital.
