01_Lelo Group's story

This group of eleven women is part of the Banc Villageois, created in February 2000. These women come from the same village and are united by good social and professional relations. Their main activity is trade.

Mrs. Mame Coumba is the group representative, 59 years old, married and the mother of eight children, four of whom are boys and four girls, all of whom are educated.

Mame Coumba is a very engaged and dynamic woman in the smooth running of socio-economic businesses in her neighborhood. She is standing to the right of the photo with her hand raised.

She is active in food trade, she makes her purchases from the weekly markets and resells in her village. She has more than 20 years of experience in this business.

With her new loan, she will buy cans of palm oil, baskets of dried fish, buckets of peanut paste, and honey that she will resell in the hopes of making good profits.

The profits from her business allow her to strengthen her savings and renew her stock of merchandise.
