Zuhra's story

Zuhra is 45 years old, widowed, and has three children. She has a higher education. Since 2000, she has sold baked goods and traditional dishes like ashlan-fu [a traditional Kyrgyz cold soup] as her main source of income. She has equipment worth 250,000 KGS. At the present, the cumulative monthly profit is 25,000 KGS.

To further develop her business, she applied to Bai-Tushum Bank for a loan of 150,000 KGS, the funds from which she will use to develop her sales business by increasing the amount of raw materials in circulation and buying flour to bake buns and rolls. She plans to use the income from the loan to develop her business activities and pay for her children’s weddings.
