Gladys's story

Gladys, 35, is an established client at UGAFODE, requesting her 4th loan. She operates a shop in the middle of Kampala city selling plastic shoes. Gladys has been in the business for 8 years and says borrowing from UGAFODE has boosted her business and has ably sustained her family. She is married with 3 children. "Making a living for myself and the family was so hard between the month of March and June 2020 because of the outbreak of the corona virus pandemic, "she says. Her husband lost his job making her the only supporter of the family. She found herself using all her savings and profits for family funding. She intends to restock her business but is insufficient of funds. She is seeking a loan to refurbish her business so she can continuously meet family needs. She awaits a positive response from Kiva. Thank you funders.
