Domingo's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to invest in the adaptation of work spaces and to buy biosafety items.

Domingo's story

Domingo is a businessman who is 49 years old and a resident of the city of Cartagena. For 12 years he has had his own business of making frozen foods such as "deditos" [fried breadsticks stuffed with cheese], empanadas [turnovers], and mixed appetizers. His business idea was born from the desire to help others and to create a great impact in the community by helping women who are the heads of their families to have an income, and giving young vulnerable adolescents an option other than delinquency.

The business currently has 4 employees, thus contributing to the generation of employment and income for the families. The customers are people local to the area.

Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, they had to close their doors momentarily due to national government directives. They are now in the process of reactivation with all the pertinent safety protocols.

For this reason, Domingo is requesting his first Kiva loan, through the Fundacion Mario Santo Domingo, where the business will invest in the adaptation of the work spaces and in the purchase of biosafety items. Support him in his loan.
