A loan helped to stock up on salted fish, which will reinforce her initial capital.

Shalom Group's story

Madam Jeannette is a client of Hekima. She presides over the Shalom Group. At 48 years old she is married and the mother of ten children, all of whom attend school. Her husband is a mason.

Madam Jeannette is a vendor whose primary merchandise is salted fish. She began her business in 2003 with the funds she received from AGR. Later on she partnered with Hekima in order to support her business, which has developed progressively ever since.

With this new loan, Madam Jeannette to stock up on merchandise by purchasing a large quantity of salted fish, which will reinforce her initial capital. The main difficulty her business faces is the high rate of the dollar and self-isolation during the Covid crisis.

Madam Jeannette hopes to finish constructing a wooden house with her revenue.

Lastly, Madam Jeannette would like to thank Hekima and its partners for the financial support they bring to non-bankable small business owners, particularly in the context of the Covid-19.
