Mapaballo's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to purchase the ACE-1 hybrid energy system for cooking, lighting and charging in a way that is safer, cleaner and saves money.

Mapaballo's story

Mapaballo is a 61 year old woman who lives in a 2 bedroom house, without access to electricity, with 5 other family members including 5 children. Mapaballo relies on civil servant and struggles with buying multiple fuel. She spends the most amount of her energy expenses on mobile phone charging, paraffin and gas, which costs up to LSL 535 per month. She also spends as much as 1 hour per day, gathering fuel and fulfilling other energy needs like phone charging.

Mapaballo bought the ACE 1 cookstove to help her and her family save the money spent every month on fuel and also help them access solar electricity for charging their mobile devices any time for free. The ACE 1 clean cook-stove is biomass and solar-powered. For more information on the ACE1 cook stove please visit www.africancleanenergy.com and Facebook @African Clean Energy
