Bertha's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!
A loan helped my floral business recover from Covid-19.
My name is Bertha and I immigrated to the USA in August 1999. When I was 16 years old my normal life change dramatically when I started high school without knowing any English and had to go to school speaking only Spanish. My days were horrible because the only class that I felt good in was Math because even without English I was able to help other students since I was good at math. After finishing a Jr. College. (DeAnza College) I decided to open my own business and do something that I really enjoy. When I was a child, my dream was to be a Psychologist but after going to college, I decided it was not for me and it was not something that I can deal with. My mom is a widow woman, a hard worker who worked a lot to bring my sister and me to this country, so we could study and have a better life here. I always wish to have a good job to support my mom. Thank God now I have the best work in my life. I’m a professional floral designer. As a florist I have participated in the Rose Parade, and past my exam as an AIFD (American Instituted of Floral Designer) members.
